Overcoming the Desire to Not exist.

Now a days I come across more and more people who have this unknown desire to not exist… Not die per say but definitely not a desire to continue life as it is. we despise our life but if it were taken from us deep regret would fill our hearts. Feeling nothing living day to day is becoming horribly more and more common among all generations.

The feeling of everything being pointless ring a bell? Wanting to sleep and never wake up?

One annoying word:

If this title is relatable then you most likely know or have felt some sort of Nihilsim here’s a short definition:

The rejection of all religious and moral principles, in the belief that life is meaningless. extreme skepticism maintaining that nothing in the world has a real existence.

“I don’t think I can relate… well maybe a just a little bit”

As every philosophy and feeling we are unique individuals express and oppress certain ideas and emotions that others do not. Life is a field filled with millions of flowers millions of miles apart from one another, some are the same color and have the same amount of sunshine others not so much, yet each represents a life. A life only they can find meaning to, the plains of grass by themselves have no meaning, the space between us is made to create our own land of passion, happiness and worth. People share life goals but in our enormous patch of land will have multiple reasons to let life take its course and enjoy the ride.

Let’s understand what this feeling is first then we can overcome it if that’s what you desire during your lifetime:

“Nonexistence will come to me soon enough, so why not stick it out for just a little bit longer?”

Sisyphus 55

If you yearn for reasoning to stay on this cosmic roller coaster called life, there is a song that captures essence of what my poor writing skills wants to capture and share with you all.

Life’s all about avoiding the obvious mistakes and enjoying the uncertainty of the ones you are doing right now. Have faith. Curiosity. Pride. Stubbornness or at least something to get you going. fill your space with something while things eventually happen.

“Though you can see when you’re wrong
You know you can’t always see when you’re right...

You’re right

Billy Joel
